On Complexes of Finite Complete Intersection Dimension

چکیده
We study complexes of finite complete intersection dimension in the derived category of a local ring. Given such a complex of complexity c, we prove that the thick subcategory it generates contains complexes of all possible complexities at most c. In particular, we show that such a complex is virtually small, answering a question raised by Dwyer, Greenlees and Iyengar.

On The Vanishing Of Homology For Modules Of Finite Complete Intersection Dimension
We prove rigidity type results on the vanishing of stable Ext and Tor for modules of finite complete intersection dimension, results which generalize and improve upon known results. We also introduce a notion of prerigidity, which generalizes phenomena for modules of finite complete intersection dimension and complexity one. Using this concept, we prove results on length and vanishing of homolo...
متن کاملLocal Cohomology with Respect to a Cohomologically Complete Intersection Pair of Ideals
Let $(R,fm,k)$ be a local Gorenstein ring of dimension $n$. Let $H_{I,J}^i(R)$ be the local cohomology with respect to a pair of ideals $I,J$ and $c$ be the $inf{i|H_{I,J}^i(R)neq0}$. A pair of ideals $I, J$ is called cohomologically complete intersection if $H_{I,J}^i(R)=0$ for all $ineq c$. It is shown that, when $H_{I,J}^i(R)=0$ for all $ineq c$, (i) a minimal injective resolution of $H_{I,...

Unless specified otherwise, by “manifolds” and “varieties” we shall always mean, respectively, complex manifolds and complex algebraic varieties. Consequently, “dimension” (of a manifold or variety) always refers to the complex dimension. We also fix, once and for all, a commutative Noetherian ring k of finite global dimension as our ring of “coefficients”; the reader is welcome to take k = Z,Q...
متن کاملSOME RESULTS ON THE COMPLEMENT OF THE INTERSECTION GRAPH OF SUBGROUPS OF A FINITE GROUP
Let G be a group. Recall that the intersection graph of subgroups of G is an undirected graph whose vertex set is the set of all nontrivial subgroups of G and distinct vertices H,K are joined by an edge in this graph if and only if the intersection of H and K is nontrivial. The aim of this article is to investigate the interplay between the group-theoretic properties of a finite group G and the...
متن کاملIntersection Multiplicities over Gorenstein Rings
LetR be a complete local ring of dimension d over a perfect field of prime characteristic p, and let M be an R-module of finite length and finite projective dimension. S. Dutta showed that the equality limn→∞ `(F n R(M)) pnd = `(M) holds when the ring R is a complete intersection or a Gorenstein ring of dimension at most 3. We construct a module over a Gorenstein ring R of dimension five for wh...
